About

Over the past nine years I’ve worked on both entertaining and educational games for both desktop and mobile platforms. Starting in fall 2018 I was a part of the development team at Age of Learning for Adventure Academy, an educational MMO intended for third to fifth graders that was developed for and released on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. Prior to that I worked for Dreamkind, primarily developing mobile applications.

While working on Adventure Academy, the team I was a part of was primarily responsible for client optimization, client build systems, the update and patch release process, tools, engine upgrades, bug fixes, live-ops, developing and maintaining in-house frameworks, documentation, as well as providing additional support for feature teams. In terms of user facing functionality, during the development of a new game mode in Adventure Academy I also worked on architecting and developing a new feature while working directly with designers, artists, and other engineers.

Organization and documentation are important skills to me. I was heavily involved in maintaining the documentation for Adventure Academy while on the project. During a yearly review one of the pieces of feedback I got that I was most proud of was, meant to be taken in the most positive way, was how I “document things in excruciating detail.”

While I have primarily worked professionally in Unity and C# I was originally trained in C++ during high school and college. Over the years I’ve become skilled at quickly learning and picking up languages, tools, and frameworks as I’ve needed them. I am always eager to learn and grow my skills at every possible opportunity.
